Heart

Ba-boom, ba-boom, ba-boom, a heart goes

it beats so softly and slow, like a smooth jazz rhythm

or someone singing softly, listen to them go

or a dog wagging their tail to and fro

or a tree blowing in a soft breeze

like some dragonflies playing by the pond

or a leaf failing on a stone

or a butterfly flying away from their cocoon

or a frog hopping from leap pad to leap pad

like some kids dancing in the rain

or more kids swinging in the sun

or some swimmers swimming in the pool

or a flower swaying in grass

like some bees buzzing in their honeycombs

or a rabbit hopping home

or a spider spinning her web

or some birds sitting in their nests

like someone hoping for their life to be full

or someone thinking about life

or a dear playing in the snow

or a snowman singing ho, ho, ho

like the change of seasons from winter to spring

or summer to fall

or a pumpkin dancing with the corn

or a scarecrow looking to and fro

like seeing a friend you have not seen in a long time

but then the heart stops beating

and your friend fads away

never to be seen again

until your time on earth has come to its end
